Besides grinding which I can do how do you dance with a girl when you're face to face. Any tips on dancing in generalHow to dance at a high school dance with a girl? Any tips?
Theres two ways, but most people go with way #1.

Way # 1 = When you ask her to dance, you guys walk out to the dance floor. Then, put your arms around her wasite, just above her bum. Then, the sway side to side. You could pull her closer to you, to make it more romantic. Her arms would be around your neck.

Way # 2 = You put your left hand around her wasite, and your right hand is holding her hair she has her hand on your shoulder, and her other hand is holding yours as well.

Edit: Oh sorry, i thought you meant slowdancing only aha.

Well. The boys at my school take the girls hands, and lock thier fingers in thiers, and they just move side to side like the girl. Sometimes they dance like jumping up and down when a song they really like comes on, but thier hand is stil around the girls wasit (from the side, )

Just flow to the beat of the musicc. How to dance at a high school dance with a girl? Any tips?
Put your hands around her waist, let your hands dangle on her lower back.

For slow dancing anyways.
Dont they teach you this stuff any more......when i was in school, every year without fail, we had fours weeks learning all this kinda stuff....in the run up to our Xmas dance, it was enough to make you cringe, but i remember how to dance to this day!

im over 30 now!

i suggest you ask someone a bit older, they will show you some decent sensible moves which wont get you slapped, and can get you to practice them with their help!
get close put your hand into hers

put your foot in beetwen hers and go side to side

try to turn
Wrap your arms around her waist, pull her close, and she can have her arms around your waist, or neck.. just sway to the rythm and go with the floww =)
