How do you ask a girl to dance with you?

Should you come from behind her and start grinding or ask if its okay.

Im not sure on what to do. This is my second dance. The first one i left becuase every guy was dancing with a girl except for me and some guys on the bleachers. This one is my homecoming. Im scared becuase i only know some the ninth graders. I want to dance with alot of girls but alot i dont know. The homecoming's to night. Should i not go and wait till next year.How do you ask a girl to dance with you?

Just go up to a girl and say ';would you like to dance'; Try and meet some more girls and suggest you dance at the homecoming beforehand or ask some of the guys who are dancing how they did it.
