How to ask to dance with a girl in a school dance?

How would you ask to dance with a girl at a school dance?

She can't hear you because the music is way too loud. I've tried tapping on the shoulder and pointing at me to her but that doesn't seem to work well.



Some people say you have to 'act' smooth and just naturally go up and dance with her.

Ive generally found that catching her eye and giving slight half bow ,while gesturing to the dance floor with your off hand ,just prior to offering your good hand generally works, if you have the pair to pull it off. other wise, get her attention and lean close and speak up,try to appear confident ,the stuttering,stammering, almost begging approach doesnt work unless she really likes you already.Remember with most young woman its not them thats against you ,its their herd of comrades you must free them from.Like us old cowboys say, ';before you worry about riding it,you have to cut one from the herd';How to ask to dance with a girl in a school dance?
Get some tap dance shoes and tap dance in front on her untill she asks what you're doing, then say ';im practicing for the dance that you're coming with me to.

You approach her and stick out your hand in front of her. (not like give me 5 or something) but as a gesture for her to take your hand and dance. Worked for me.
before the dance starts just say ';hey you owe me a dance tonight';

then tap her later on and grab her hand
You just need to speak up...........I have been to dances and can hear perfectly fine.

if she likes you,

grabbing her hand and dragging her onto the dancefloor would probably be your best bet.

if she doesn't..BAD IDEA just stay away!!

It depends if it is a slow song tell her it would be a honor if you could have this dance....
if you want to dance with a girl and tapping her on the shoulder can't get her attention, and the music is too loud, ask the DJ to turn the music down, or ask her at school to dance during the next dance; sort of a date.
