Advice on my first school dance -- homecoming!?

Okay, so I'm a freshman in High School and this is the 1st dance of the year, and my 1st dance ever. I'm going with a group of friends, and some older girls, my BFF's older sister %26amp; her friends.. my crush asked another girls, and got rejected, so he'll be free. I just want some tips on how to make the most of it, maybe some beauty tips from girls, dancing/flirting tips from guys. Homecoming is a very big deal at my school, and it's very formal. Some even get a limo. So just tips in general would be helpful to make it a great dance!Advice on my first school dance -- homecoming!?
Go to have fun and not try to impress anyone. Make sure you wear your hair up and do your make-up a little darker, but not too much. You want to look more made up than you normally do, but still be comfortable.

The best memories I have of high school are hanging out with my friends at dances; dancing and goofing off.

One other thing. Don't get caught up in ';dance drama';. There is usually some sort of crisis and drama usually involving a guy. Just let it be, and don't get involved. You want this dance to be memorable it's your first ever. I know this sounds like advice from an ';old lady';, but I have been there and I know high school has not changed all that much.
