I am 14 I'm going to a dance tomorrow and i want to know how to slow dance. How do i slow dance with a girl?
If you're only 14, your not gona need to get fancy with it. I'm guessing you're in middle school or high school so your really only gona sway to the music. But the girls really gona be impressed if you keep a firm hold on her, get as close to her as possible, and don't disrespect her until she's okay with you gettinga little crazy ;) oh, and if you know the basic box step you will be even better off. Instead of asking someone how to dance with a girl (which is rele embarasing if you ask me!) just ask someone to teach you a box step or just look it up online!
hope this helps!!!
p.s. idk iif there's a way to reply to me, but if you can, tell me how the dance goes !How do i slow dance with a girl?
This is a REALLY cute question! You really should ask your mom (aunt, grandma) to show you! You can probably find some demo on youtube. But on a personal side...girls like to feel respected-so dont get frisky :-) Keep your arms secure around her waist or on the small of her back %26amp; dont be disrespectful. Hold her securely too-even if you dont feel confident, act confident and take the lead. Have fun, most importantly! Seriously-ask your mom or an adult you trust to SHOW you some moves.....you need to practice a little
I just had my first dance yesterday. Seeing as I'm a girl, I think I can help you out.
Usually the girl puts both her hands on the guy's shoulders or around the guy's neck. The guy puts his hands on her waist. (Don't go for the butt! Most girls don't like that). If that's too uncomfortable for you, you might hold one of her hands (you know, kind of off to the side) and then put only one hand on her waist. If you both know how to do a box step, go ahead. If you don't, just kind of sway back and forth to the music. That's what most people do. Unless it's one of those ';special moments'; make sure you keep up some kind of conversation. If you can't think of anything, as about what she likes to do in her free time, if she plays sports, what music she likes, or really anything for that matter. Otherwise it might be awkward.
I was really scared at first, but then once I got asked to dance once or twice it was fine. Just do what comes natural.
Good luck and have fun!
